DoCollect – For a better cash flow!
Get paid on time – without the extra admin!
With the DoCollect module in Odoo, you can send invoices on to reminders, debt collection and further action with the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) in one seamless process. This is done through an integration with Capitum, which handles the mailings and the actual debt recovery. This means you don't have to administer the cases yourself, and you can manage everything directly in Odoo. Best of all, the service is completely free of charge!
Get started with DoCollect
To start using the service, you need to connect Odoo to Capitum and link your client account. You do this by downloading the module from the Odoo App Store and following the steps below.
Step 1 – Connect to DoCollect
- Go to Settings → Accounting → Customer Invoices.
- Click the “Connect DoCollect” button. Once this is done, the integration is established.
Once this is done, the integration is established.

Step 2 – Register client
- Go to Settings → General Settings → Manage Companies (select a company) → DoCollect Settings.
- Click the “Register Client” button.
Once this is completed, the customer is registered with DoCollect.

Send a reminder or debt collection notice
When an invoice is overdue, you can easily send it on for a reminder or debt collection:
- Go to Accounting → Customer Invoices.
- Open the invoice you want to send.
- Click the option for reminder or debt collection.
- A reminder is only sent when you as a user choose to send it, together with any applicable fee and interest.
- If the invoice is still not paid, a debt collection notice is sent after 14 days.
- In the case of partial payment, the remaining debt is handled automatically with a follow-up claim.
Send a reminder or debt collection notice
In the invoice form view, there is a DoCollect Info tab where you can see:
- Which actions have been sent (reminder, debt collection).
- The date of the most recent action.
- The current status, for example whether the case has been sent to the Swedish Enforcement Authority.
Automatic and manual updates
- Invoice statuses are updated once a day through a scheduled update.
- You can also update the status manually if you want to see the latest information right away.

If the invoice remains unpaid – the Swedish Enforcement Authority
If an invoice remains unpaid despite a reminder and a debt collection notice, you as a user can send it on to the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) directly from Odoo. To support the decision, a debt record is retrieved for the customer to assess whether the money is likely to be recoverable.
Capitum handles the payment order process and any long-term monitoring:
- Payment order: Capitum applies to the Swedish Enforcement Authority and pursues the case until it is closed.
- Long-term monitoring: The case is monitored. Capitum sends regular reminders and applies for a payment order at the right time.
When the case is closed, the recovered amount is paid out to you in accordance with the applicable terms.
Summary of the process
- Connect to Capitum (Accounting → Settings → Customer Invoices).
- Onboard the client to activate authentication.
- Send a reminder or debt collection notice when an invoice becomes overdue.
- Follow the status in the DoCollect Info tab.
- Automatic updates take place daily, and manual updates can be made as needed.
